Rain rain go away

It finally stopped raining, thank goodness.

Like Wahj, I’m not a big fan of wet-everything. Let’s see how long this break in the weather will last.

Was anyone involved in the surprise emergency drill held yesterday? Only in Singapore would you get a drill with elaborate mock-ups and hours spent on make-up for ‘live’ casualties…

I hope the sun will blaze this afternoon. Otherwise it’ll be an icky experience on the pitch.

I guess they had to advertise the drill to prevent people from panicking and thinking it was a real thing. I recall that some years back, a school was holding a smaller scale but similar emergency drill. Even though they had informed neighbourhood residents about the event, some panicked when they heard the noise and saw the school evacuated, and immediately alerted the press! (As opposed to alerting the emergency services, which would’ve told them it was a drill.)

I’m just glad they ran the exercise on a Sunday, so I don’t have to worry about inadvertently becoming a participant in such a drill on my way to work ;)
