Singapore Formula 1 in 2008?

Singapore has started making plans to host a Grand Prix after new rules allowed the Formula One calendar to expand to a possible 20 races in 2008.

Great, first you guys get Tiesto, now you get Formula 1. I swear Singapore is trying to suck me in.

Could be a good thing… maybe.

Couple of weeks earlier, I came across some Tiesto Livesets and told myself… I have to see Tiësto again at a concert or rave. I learned then, Tiesto was be performing at Renault’s F1 party next month in Sepang. Sad, I was… not being able to go. F1 and Tiesto! *sigh*

Now to add insult to injury, Tiesto.com has an updated schedule, with him performing at the Ministry of Sound on the 14th of April 2006.

*Expletives*

Anyway, if you’re a fan of Trance music, or would like to try something new… definitely go see him. He doesn’t just perform, he takes you on a magikal (yes, that’s how he spells it =) ) journey.I swear I would so be there. And so would Nat cause she just LOVES Tiesto =D

Funny Radio Ad

When I was in Singapore and was riding in my dad’s business partner’s car, I kept hearing this rather funny ad regarding fish tanks. This guy wanted to buy a 30 ‘foot’ fish tank.

Yes, you heard me, 30 feet. Not gallons.

The kicker was the end of the ad, where the seller offered to sell fish to go with the tank. The offered fish? Dolphin, Stingray, etc.

The point of this post is a small plea to the lazyweb. This is one of the funniest ads I’ve ever heard, and I was wondering if someone can score me a recording of it?

Also, you s’poreans are fricking hilarious. Creative, and hilarious. =)

I keep hearing this doesn’t compare to Sim Lim Square at all.

But I tell you, it’s a great start. And the location is perfect too. Well, it was for me, staying at the Park Royal, and needing a 2 pin to 3 pin converter for my devices. Not to mention that ‘Sex Shop’ right across the street =)

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of malls around the states that are just filled with nothing but Tech Stores.

I still question that John 3:16 Photo Supplies store though.

Why do I like this hotel?

First of all, the location. It’s pretty much right next to Funan, (I have never seen so many tech shops) and there’s a Sex Shop accross the street! (Note to self, go visit said Sex Shop for a review. Any MetroBloggers wanna tag team?)

The breakfast spread the morning I was leaving, was just plain amazing. I had the worst hangover (Thanks Nat and Jer!) ever, and the food which was nice and fresh, got me a little bit through the hangover. And they had Guava with Asam! Hell yeah!

Rooms comes with wired broadband connection, which is about $30 tops a day. I would recommend bringing something like an Airport Express (make sure you have a three pin adapter!) because if you end up sharing the one connection with multiple computers (plug into one NIC, and then into a different NIC) it’ll start the charge as new. Pricey!

WiFi in the lounge area, but you have to get an access card of some kind. That’s just kinda lame, if you ask me.

Next trip, I’m staying here again!
